Nikkei Concerns 5th Annual Founders' Golf Benefit Tournament

Nikkei Concerns 5th Annual Founders' Golf Benefit Raises Over $50,000

Through the leadership of co-chairs, Lauree Seko and Harold Taniguchi, in addition to the immense support of over 300 golfers, sponsors, donors and volunteers, Nikkei Concerns raised over $50,000 from its 5th Annual Founders' Golf Benefit held on October 2nd at the Rainier Golf & Country Club. The proceeds from this event will directly benefit the residents and participants of Nikkei Concerns' four programs.

Thirty-seven foursomes enjoyed a full day of golf which was followed by a dinner and award banquet. The names of the first place team members, Dr. Frank Hori, Tom Shimozato, Dale Petrich and Ray Otani, are now inscribed on the Nikkei Concerns Founders' Golf trophy. This perpetual trophy is displayed in the lobby of Seattle Keiro for public viewing. All winning teams were honored during the dinner program, which also included a live auction and raffle. An evening highlight was the $1 million hole-in-one attempt by Bob Hashimoto on behalf of Ed Shigihara.

Nikkei Concerns Board President, Harold Taniguchi said "We are very excited about Susan coming on board. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, and represents a wonderful match for our CEO position." Ms. Oki golfed a full day and later spoke during the evening's program. Thank you to the many generous sponsors, in-kind donors, volunteers and participants who once again made this benefit one of Nikkei Concerns largest annual fundraising events. A special thank you to MulvannyG2 Architecture for being the title sponsor for a fourth year.
