THANK YOU FOR ENRICHING THE LIVES OF OUR ELDERS! A special thank you to the following individuals and organizations for donating their time and talents!

On August 29th, Nikkei Manor residents, family and staff were treated to a special Sushi & Sashimi demonstration, courtesy of I Love Sushi at Lake Union. Sushi Chef, Mr. Masaru Tajima, donated his time to artfully prepare over 500 pieces of sushi and sashimi. The smiles and appetites of forty or so residents were testimony to the success of this special occasion. I Love Sushi owner, Mr. Chris Kim, and his Executive Chef and Manager Mr. Hideaki Taneda, graciously donated the talent, equipment and ingredients to prepare sushi and sashimi. Mr. Kim has expressed an interest in continuing to provide this service on a regular basis, perhaps as many as three or four times per year for the residents. Thank you I Love Sushi!

Also, a very special thank you to these organizations and individuals for brightening the lives of our elders: Seattle Pacific University, Mari Okumura, Teruo Sugahara, Washington Mutual “Day of Caring” volunteers.
