New Grant Award for Seattle Keiro!
We are very pleased to announce the award of a grant of $25,000 from the Margaret L. McCarney Fund at The Seattle Foundation. This grant will be used to purchase two whirlpool bathtubs for direct resident care at Seattle Keiro. These bathtubs are an integral part of our future bathing room remodel which will ensure resident safety and encourage healing through a holistic, resident centered bathing process.

Thank you to The Seattle Foundation for this generous grant! You have made a difference for each and every one of Seattle Keiro's residents. For that, we cannot thank you enough.

Nikkei Manor Alzheimer's Support Group
There are plans for an Alzheimer's support group at Nikkei Manor. The group would be sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association and facilitated by a volunteer with specialized training. Participation would be free, and open to anyone who has a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's or a related dementia.

Before beginning this program, we would like to get input from the potential participants. Please go to Alzheimer Survey and complete the survey and email to billc@nikkeiconcerns.org or call Bill Colter, Director of Nikkei Manor, at 206-726-6467 for more information. If enough interest is generated to start a group, mailings and fliers will be distributed with the details.
