  • LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY! --The 25th Annual South China Benefit Dinner will be held Monday, July 11, 2005, 4-9 p.m. at the South China Restaurant (View map) in the Newport Hills neighborhood of Bellevue: 5606 119th Avenue SE, (425) 643-5085.

    You may dine in the restaurant, order take-out or have your meal delivered to Seattle Keiro or Nikkei Manor for pick-up. IMPORTANT!: All delivery requests to Seattle Keiro or Nikkei Manor must have their full payment with tickets and delivery location preference to the Seattle Keiro or Nikkei Manor front desks by noon on July 11th.

  • The 2005 Great Hawaii Getaway Raffle: Tickets are still available to win two grand-prize 8-day trips to Hawaii, plus other great prizes. Your raffle ticket purchase supports the programs of Nikkei Concerns, and the seniors and children whose lives are enriched by these quality programs. Tickets are only $5 and are on sale now at Seattle Keiro, Nikkei Manor or from community volunteers and board members (call 206-726-6465 or e-mail emartin@nikkeiconcerns.org for more information). Drawing will be held July 21.

Volunteer opportunities

  • You can help! We have many volunteer opportunities at all five programs, ranging from craft and outing volunteers to office help. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Volunteer Services Coordinator Amy French at (206) 726-7830 or e-mail at afrench@nikkeiconcerns.org.

Seattle Keiro

  • This summer we will be focusing on the more traditional meaning of Bon Odori. Instead of hosting our annual Summer Fest, we will be escorting residents to Seattle Buddhist Church's Bon Odori, held on Saturday, July 16th, 4 -10 p.m. and Sunday, July 17th, 3 - 8 p.m. Family members are encouraged to join in and celebrate with residents at the church's festivities.
