Celebrating 120 Seasons: Nikkei Concerns 30th Anniversary Auction Celebration

  • The 2005 Great Hawaii Getaway Raffle is bigger and better than ever. Two grand prize 8-day trips to Hawaii, plus other great prizes, offer many chances to win while supporting the programs of Nikkei Concerns, and the seniors and children whose lives will be enriched by these quality programs this year. Tickets are only $5 and are on sale now at Seattle Keiro, Nikkei Manor or from community volunteers and board members (call 206-726-6465 or e-mail emartin@nikkeiconcerns.org for more information). Drawing will be held July 21.
  • The 25th Annual South China Benefit Dinner will be on Monday, July 11, 2005, 4-9 p.m. at the South China Restaurant (View map) in the Newport Hills neighborhood of Bellevue: 5606 119th Avenue SE, (425) 643-5085. You may dine in the restaurant, order take-out or have your meal delivered to Seattle Keiro or Nikkei Manor for pick-up (delivery meals must be paid for by NOON on July 11th.) Tickets are just $13 and are available at Seattle Keiro, Nikkei Manor or South China Restaurant beginning in early June.   • Residents and staff of Seattle Keiro skilled-nursing and Nikkei Manor assisted-living facilities participated in Celebrating Our Cultures Day on Tuesday, May 10. The day was celebrated with ethnic song, dance and food donated by Rhonda Smith, The Maneki Restaurant, Teapot Vegetarian House, Sun-Ya Seafood Restaurant, Moonlight Café, Delite Bakery and Foulee Deli. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated.

Ayame Kai News

  • Thank you to all the shoppers, volunteers and donors who helped make the Rummage Sale last weekend a success!
  • Ayame Kai only has a couple 2005 Entertainment books remaining for sale. Only $30 - Get yours today! Plenty of Ichiro on Ichiro books are still available, for only $23.
