CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL IN WASHINGTON DC
This is the first cross-country tour offered by Nikkei Horizons!
For five fun-filled days, visit numerous historical sites and monuments (including the National Japanese American Memorial), tour the White House, enjoy cruises, shopping, and dinner theater, as well as the National Cherry Blossom Festival! You'll also take in the Smithsonian Institution and National Museum and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
This tour will fill quickly, so sign up ASAP! There will be a lot of walking on this tour, so wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

SEATTLE OPERA - DON GIOVANNI
Get dressed in your Sunday best for an afternoon of lavish costumes, gorgeous music, and the twisted tales for which opera is so famous.
The Seattle Opera's new production, Don Giovanni, is irresistible to everyone. No less captivating are the opera's arias, which require exceptional range and breath control. Experience Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's exceptional music and Don Giovanni's notorious seduction. Libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, in Italian with English captions.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy the world famous performance at McCaw Hall. Prior to the show you'll enjoy a leisurely buffet brunch at the Ivar's Salmon House on the scenic shores of Lake Union.

LUNCH BUNCH
Join us once a month for lunch in the fine company of your Nikkei Horizons comrades.
These outings are a fun way to stay connected with your peers and try new and different restaurants around Puget Sound. Often there's a little time for shopping or sightseeing along the way, as well.
The first outing is decided for you, and the last two will be decided by the group from a list of options presented by your escort. Price includes transportation and lunch for your escort and driver (this is a necessary adjustment from last quarter). Participants pay for their own meal.
You may join us for all three outings, or just one or two, but be sure to let us know on your registration form which dates you'll attend.
Our first lunch will be at Imperial Garden Seafood Restaurant in the Great Wall Mall in Kent. This will be the first Dim Sum experience for our Lunch Bunch!

JAPANESE CONVERSATION FOR FUN!
This class is designed for people who have basic knowledge of the Japanese language. You will learn current Japanese words and make simple conversations, such as for traveling or in everyday life. You are not allowed to use English in the class. But do not worry, our new instructor, Miyuki Mitsumoto, will assist you in Japanese to gain your Japanese conservation skills in the FUN class!

Requirement: Beginning/Beyond Beginning Japanese conversation classes or students who can make basic Japanese sentences.

HAND QUILTING WITH DIANE
Join this fun hand quilting class! Diane Taniguchi is very flexible and welcomes beginners to advanced level participants. Bring your project and/or fabrics you have been saving but had no idea what to do with it! Diane will give you great suggestions to get started and help to complete your project!
